The fabric

No average Joe cotton fringe over here. The cream brush fringe is Italian-made solution-dyed acrylic, making it totally weather resistant. It'll shake off the rain, won't succumb to mould or mildew, and will hold it's perfect creamy colour year after year.

The sturdy yet beautiful woven terracotta fabric is made in Northern France and is the absolute best quality outdoor fabric available globally. Textured like a heavy-weight cotton, it will shield you from both the sun's rays, and any passing rain showers too.

Made from 50% recycled fabrics, and without using harmful forever-chemicals, both the parasol fringe trim and canopy are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100. They are the ultimate combination of environmentally conscientious materials, without sacrificing quality or performance.

With double corners plus a storm vent that allows breezes to pass through with panache, this parasol can withstand all weathers.

Care

Plia Parasols have been made with the highest quality materials, and can stay outside through all weathers. The canopies will shrug off rain, and maintain their vibrant colours for a prolonged time in the sun.

The parasol frame is designed to withstand both the dry heat of the summer and the wet of winter.

Soap and water should be plenty sufficient for occassional cleaning of the frame or canopy.

If ever you use a chemical cleaner on the frame, it would be advisable to re-finish with any outdoor, uncoloured water-based preserver or top coat. We recommend: Sikagard Wood Preserver.

To extend the life of your parasol and to reduce maintenance, cover with the supplied waterproof cover when not in use, or store in a garage or shed.

The canopy is easily removable for cleaning, storage or swapping design, should the mood take you.

The frame

Our wooden frames are traditionally made and designed for longevity.

A single length centre pole does away with dodgy connectors and weak spots.

Double pulleys and a clever cleat to grip the rope, makes raising your parasol as easy as pie.

Stainless steel arm brackets ensure strength in ridiculous winds, but please don’t put it to the test.

100% of our parasol parts can be replaced or repaired should something break.
